'Blossom by blossom the spring begins'
-Algernon Charles Swinburne, from Atalanta in Calydon
The cherry tree

Forsythia already blossoming.
Spring is well and truly her
I am enjoying the longer days, the birdsong and line-dried washing.
What about you?

I'm enjoying planting on the allotment, the seedlings all peeping through in the propagator, our first radishes in the greenhouse, the smell of mown grass, the lifting of the spirits that happens this time of year ...
ReplyDeleteAll of the above and my vegetable plants beginning to grow.
ReplyDeleteI am smiling at my gently billowing washing, drying out in the sun and the wee grape hyacinths popping up at an alarming rate. Our previous house was in a teeny road called Blossom Street. Fourteen Victorian twoup twodowns. As soon as we moved there the word blossom has always conjoured up happy thoughts so I was so pleased to read your post title. Ax
ReplyDeleteYup, all of those, although I have what in this part of the world is called an 'outdoor maiden' rather than a washing line ... it's a lot higher and stops the dogs from running away with the clean washing!
ReplyDeleteWe are in Lancashire - nuff said.
ReplyDeleteOh dear :(
DeleteYes I am.
ReplyDeleteBut now I am filled with envy after seeing that cherry tree...
Heavenly blossoms. There here as well as pussy willows. Love, love, love it!!
ReplyDeleteOh me too, me too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! The onset of Spring is so cheering! Cx
ReplyDeleteI think your spring is a week or two ahead of mine, but looking at the weather forecast I see mine catching up on the inside straight and my young heart is joyous.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the signs of spring!
ReplyDeleteI am enjoying green willow trees and the song of red-winged blackbirds in Minnesota, where we usually have a couple of feet of snow still on the ground.
ReplyDeleteWe are starting to see the first signs of autumn in my part of the world after a cold wet summer. Tara
ReplyDeleteI love the blossoms.... there are loads in this side of west London. Have just had a coffee after school drop off with a group of friends outside one of the local cafes, with the sun shinning and everybody looking happy. I swear I thought we were somewhere in the Med.... Bliss... x Pati
ReplyDeleteJust loving every single minute of it, relieved that it finally got her.
ReplyDeletePeh. I hate Southerners.
