Couldn't Resist...

...These teeny tiny glass baubles from Paperchase. Just 2 cm in diameter and probably destined to fall and smash....

  1. They are beautiful! I might chance ordering them for international delivery, hoping no postal worker will jump up and down on them.

  2. I've had some of those for 2 years and they are lovely, but a couple of them have lost the metal bit at the top. Baubles are intact though. Btw, I'm a new fan of your blog - love it!

  3. Dear Sue
What a lovely combination of colours - that photo would make a lovely piece of wall art.
I hope the baubles stay intact for you to enjoy.
    Best wishes

  4. This is so funny, I thought at first that I was looking at Nespresso coloured capsules! Gorgeous colours and they will look great twinkling on the Christmas tree!

  5. I bought these last year and I just love them. I have a feeling I dropped quite a few but I don't remember any smashes. It was such fun mixing the colours- can't wait to get them out in December!!
    Enjoy playing, Ax

  7. Yum - chocolates! ;)
My colleague has a fancy pod-coffee machine with refills that look very similar - I just want to eat them!

  8. I have some similar baubles, but mine are just a bit larger. What a great color span you have in your carton of minis. There are so many possible decorative destinations ... please do post some more photos when December arrives. It won't be long now!

  9. I saw them and was tempted too. But I really do own too many Christmas decorations already.

  10. Well they are very pleasing. As it happens I might just end up in a paperchase this half term...plus there are hours of arranging possibilities when htey go back in the box. Lovely x

  11. I've been buying one new decoration each year since forever. Does this box count as one?

    1. Me too, and yes this is one decoration in my book.

    2. I'm so glad you said that as I too ration myself to one addition to my collection each year. However, as I adhere to a fairly strict red and gold colour theme to our tree, I think I would string them on a ribbon and use them to decorate the dining room instead.

  12. I love them - I think I would keep the box open & have them in my work room all year round!!
I am on a diet - I thought they were chocolates at first glance - lol!

    2. Hey, it is never too early to start Christmas. Do you realise that some people keep their Christmas life going all year long? Fight against useless celebrations, and keep Christmas in your heart.

  17. They are lovely and very much like some I have from the 80s bought from M&S and yes they are the ones that drop to the floor with a satisfying smash.

  18. I do love Christmas decorations. I couldn't have real glass baubles on my tree though as my cats think they are toys and one of them is very good at hooking them off with her paw. Much fun is had each year. The colours are beautiful. I couldn't possibly stick to a colour scheme on my tree, any and all colours are welcome.

I fill my crystal bowls with these inside our china cabinet all year long. The colors add a bit of fun behind the glass.

    1. Too delicious. I bought some camembert recently and we ate it on crackers with quince jelly and the two flavours are very good together. Thank you :)

very cute! don't they look like chocolates? (at least in the pics). I am not a multicoloured Xmas type of person, I love using red/white/gold (more like a Scandinavian look) but I think these would look lovely on a front door wreath or as present wrapping decorations as they seem very festive. I love buying Xmas ornaments... Pati x

Delicious colours! I'm so getting these... a multicoloured Christmas. I've had the mini Paperchase baubles in black & gold for a couple of years & they're good. Did yours come with anything to hang them with? I had to make my own with thread!

    1. No threads. I thought I might buy some narrow ribbon in different colours to hang them.

  29. Oh so cute - my husband will be wishing I hadn't seen these on your blog as we will be passing by a Paperchase shop in Shrewsbury tomorrow and I may well just have to drag him in!
Last year I bought the Russian Doll tree bauble set for my Russian sister-in-law and she loved them.
