'I've commissioned a piece of jewellery from Emma' I told Charlie
'Who's Emma?' he asked
'I've told you about Emma, she makes lovely silver jewellery and has amazing hair' I said.
'I thought you could give it to me for my birthday'
'Oh, ok'
'Don't worry I've paid for it, you just need to pay me back'
'Oh, ok'
'It's going to be a really beautiful and unique piece of jewellery. No one else will have anything like it.'
'Oh, what it is?'
'A tiny silver quince of course'
'Oh, that's original of me isn't it?'
'Yes, it is. Thank you'

ReplyDeletehappy birthday, what a fab necklace. I met Emma briefly at a craft fair in the summer where she proudly showed me the bag she had received from Attic 24, but made no mention of all the lovely jewellery she made until I told her I read her blog. Very unassuming, but very talented. I'll have to start thinking what she could make for my husband to give me for my birthday!
